THE PROBLEM
A takeaway order is not reaching the kitchen
Recommended solution
Takeaway orders entered by a Manager or POS cashier are held until the required full payment is recorded. A waiter-entered takeaway order is saved as a draft for the cashier and does not create a kitchen ticket yet.
- Open the order and check its status. An order marked as awaiting cashier billing is intentionally held and has not been sent to the kitchen.
- A Manager or POS cashier should open the order, confirm the total and collect the full amount due. A partial payment does not release a takeaway order.
- After the payment is saved successfully, confirm the order shows paid and a kitchen ticket number.
- If the order is paid but no ticket appears, refresh the order and ask a Manager to check the order activity and application error log before creating a duplicate.
Dine-in and delivery payment timing can differ; do not change an order’s type just to bypass the takeaway billing rule.
Make one change at a time and verify the result before repeating an order or payment action.
